Lauzon Flooring – Ambiance Collection
This hardwood flooring project in Montville, NJ included the installation of about 850 sf. of premium North American hardwood from Lauzon Flooring’s Ambiance Collection. The material is a 3 1/4″ wide by 3/4″ thick solid red oak. The chosen color was gunstock, and the finsh is a semi gloss.
Expert Hardwood Flooring Installation
As professional flooring contractors, we always do our best to make our clients happy. On this project, our client wanted the new flooring to be all one level throughout four primary areas of their first floor, the living room, family room, dining room, and foyer. In order to achieve that, we needed to do a little demo work first. In the family room, we removed a very thick laminate floor. In the entry foyer, we removed a layer of quarter-inch plywood subflooring along with a layer of linoleum flooring. The upper hall required a bit more work. We ended up removing two layers of plywood subflooring and an additionional two layers of vinyl flooring up there.
Once the rip-up and removal of the old flooring was completed, we completely cleaned up all of the areas. The hardwood flooring itself was nailed down in traditional fashion.
For the finishing touch, our expert installation team installed new 6-1/2″ baseboard moldings and quarter round trim all over.
What About the Piano?
Yes, in order to facilitate a timely install, our team carefully moved the antique Steinway Grand piano shown in the photos, as well as other valuable pieces.
