Installation of Engineered Hardwood Flooring, Carpet, and Refinishing of Wood Stairs & Railing
This flooring installation project in Alexandria, New Jersey involved installation of an Anderson Tuftex engineered hardwood flooring, Anderson Tuftex Fair Isle carpet, and the sanding and refinishing of the clients existing staircase and railing.
Anderson Tuftex Bernina Hickory
We installed our clients top choice, Anderson Tuftex Bernina Hickory, on their entire first floor. This 1/2″ thick engineered wood flooring is beautiful and versatile. It features a heavy hand-scraped texture and 5″ wide planks. The high color variation of the hickory wood adds to its appeal. This hardwood flooring can be installed above, on, or below grade. It can even be installed over radiant heat. With the option to choose any of four installation methods, we can nail, staple, glue, or float this floor over virtually any subfloor.
Refinishing Wood Stairs & Railing
Our crew began by removing the existing carpet runner from the staircase. All of the spindles were also removed for painting and to allow for sanding of the railing. The treads, risers, and railing were all scraped, filled, and sanded down clean and smooth. As always, the dust from the sanding process was contained and the rest of the house remained clean and dust free. Once everything was sanded and wiped down, the staining process began. The stain color was custom blended to contrast the Bernina Hickory color. The spindles were installed and the risers were painted white.
Anderson Tuftex Carpet: Fair Isle
Our clients opted to have carpet installed on the second floor. They chose a style named Fair Isle from Tuftex. This textured style carpet is made from the super soft and extremely stain resistant 100% ANSO® HIGH PERFORMANCE NYLON. You can choose from any of the twenty-four colors available.
