Our latest commercial flooring project involved floor prep, furniture moving, and a glue down installation of COREtec Pro Plus vinyl plank flooring. We also supplied and installed primed and painted shoe molding and all of the necessary doorway transitions.

This commercial installation was done for a non-profit organization in Somerset, New Jersey. Our client chose COREtec’s Pro Plus vinyl plank not only for the great look, but also for the durability. The COREtec® Pro Plus collection combines the stylish appearance of COREtec and toughens it up.
This product is rated for high traffic applications in both residential and commercial settings. Their rigid core system consists of specialized top and bottom layers that add stability to the planks. The core is constructed from a high-density composition that adds additional rigidity. This offers superior resistance to denting and other impact damage. COREtec vinyl flooring is 100% waterproof. These vinyl floors can even be installed in areas that will get wet. They say it won’t swell even if it has been totally submerged under water. COREtec floors also have what is known as dimensional stability, this just means that they will not expand or contract due to changes in temperature, humidity, etc., so you will not need to use expansion strips in large rooms. COREtec® Pro Plus plank and tiles come with an attached cork underlayment. This makes the floor warmer and quieter.
Glue Down Installation
Our expert crew moved the furniture as necessary and began prepping the floor for the glue down installation. The floors were swept clean and then patched to create a smooth surface for the adhesive to bond to. The adhesive was spread using the appropriate trowel notch size and then the planks were laid into the adhesive. The end result is a permanent bond with either a wooden or concrete substrate. The “glue down” method is typically recommended for commercial installations.
We covered the office, hallways, basement, and common room. As always, we installed primed and painted shoe moldings and installed all of the needed doorway transitions.
