Installation Of Commercial LVP & Carpet Tile
This commercial flooring project included the installation of Karndean luxury vinyl flooring and Shaw carpet tiles for Dr. Scott Campbell’s medical practice in Bedminster, New Jersey
Karndean Commercial Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)
For this particular commercial project we installed a commercial grade glue down vinyl plank from Karndean Design Flooring in the treatment rooms, lab, and bathroom.
When installing a “glue down” product, the subfloor must prepped to ensure a smooth surface for the adhesive to bond with and to prevent any telegraphing of the old floor or substrate through the new flooring. Our team laid two coats of floor patch to prepare for the vinyl plank installation. The first coat was Mapei Plani Patch with Acrylic additive and the second coat was Ardex feather finish.

The style is LLP145 and the color name is Torcello. It comes with a 10 year commercial warranty and the product includes a surface protection treatment called K Guard Plus which incorporates PU (Polyurethane) technology. This enhanced protection keeps the flooring looking new without needing to do any initial sealing. It also has the additional benefits of being resistant to stains, scuff marks, and fine scratches. This makes it easier and more environmentally friendly to keep your new LVP floors clean. This Karndean commercial vinyl will provide the practice with a durable and low maintenance flooring solution for years to come.

Shaw Commercial Carpet Tile
In the waiting room, office, and corridor, we removed and disposed of the existing carpet and pad prior to installing this carpet tile from Shaw Industries. The style is Peto II and the color is Birdbath 75410. Peto II is a 100% solution dyed nylon carpet tile with an EcoWorx® backing. These tiles have a textured loop pile and come in a 24″ x 24″ size.
Carpet tiles are a great option for commercial remodeling projects because they are durable and easy to replace if one should ever become damaged. Also, they can typically be installed without completely removing all of the furniture and office equipment from the space, generally saving time and money.
